Description

Alone or in pairs, participants must try to cross the parcours from one end to the other without being hit by balls pushed by others.

Objective

Cross the parcours without being touched.

How the game is played

Line up participants standing side by side in two lines facing each other about 4 meters apart, just enough for the balls and participants to circulate. Then distribute the balls to participants on the lines, who will act as the parcours boundaries.

Choose 1 or 2 ninjas to stand at the start of the parcours between the 2 lines. At your signal, they must cross to the other end, trying to avoid being hit by the balls. The ball throwers must not deliberately aim at the ninjas. They have to push them in front of them, without using the ninjas as targets.

Once they have crossed the parcours, participants move to the end of one of the 2 lines to throw the balls in turn at the next people trying to cross the parcours. Since the starting line will move forward after each pass, after a certain number of passes, take the time to move the 2 lines back to avoid them ending up too close to a wall.

Adaptations/variations

  • Reduce or increase the distance between the 2 lines to increase or decrease the level of difficulty
  • Add or remove balls
  • Play with points: participants count the number of times they’ve been hit, and the one with the fewest points wins the game.

Particular safety rules

  • Make sure there is enough space between the end of the 2 lines and the wall to allow participants enough room to stop running.
  • Remind participants to look forward, not backward.
